Swisslog aligns ANZ with wider Asia Pacific

Swisslog APeC managing director Steven Xie (centre) will work closely with the Australia and New Zealand leadership team across operations, sales, and engineering.

Swisslog is bringing its Australia and New Zealand operations into closer alignment with its Asia Pacific excluding China (APeC) region under a new structure aimed at strengthening access to regional expertise.

The move allows the ANZ business to draw more directly on engineering, technical, and software capability developed across the wider Asia Pacific operation, while maintaining local delivery, service, and support teams.

“Both the ANZ and Asia Pacific regions have experienced strong growth and continued success, so there is good sense in sharing across regions the expertise and lessons learned,” says executive vice president and managing director Steven Xie.

Swisslog says its local leadership team in Australia and New Zealand will remain in place, alongside sales, engineering, and service functions, ensuring customers continue to have local points of contact across all stages of a project.

At the same time, the business will draw on “highly qualified resources, shared innovation, and regional expertise” to support delivery across the region.

A dual managing director structure has been introduced in ANZ, with the company saying the model reinforces governance and accountability while supporting continued collaboration with the wider APeC region.

Across Asia Pacific, Swisslog is also rolling out its “Ready for the next” strategy, which positions the business as a long-term automation partner, supporting customers through changes in demand, product mix, and operational requirements.

“Importantly, Swisslog’s project delivery, service operations, and customer support functions in Australia and New Zealand remain locally based,” Xie says.

The new structure is intended to strengthen coordination across regional teams while maintaining a local presence in the ANZ market.
