Centra Forklifts now exclusive NZ distributor of Flexi articulating forklifts
Centra Forklifts (NZ) Ltd – distributor for Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks – is one of the oldest established forklift companies in New Zealand and now the company is adding what it describes as another premium brand to its range, announcing the exclusive local distributorship for Flexi articulating forklifts.
“We see this as a great addition to Centra’s range for our customers, having visited the Flexi UK factory to see the R&D investment, build quality and care taken to make and support a premium product, we know it will exceed our customers’ expectations,” says Bruce Greenslade, sales and marketing manager at Greenslade. He says that in tough economic times, companies are looking for smart, cost-effective solutions if they need more warehouse space, and this is where the Flexi product excels.
“Narrow aisle warehousing is becoming more popular around the world as it is much more cost effective to utilise your existing warehouse space more efficiently than build expensive additions or relocating the entire business to a new location,” says Greenslade.
By reducing aisle widths and potentially increasing racking heights, it is possible to create up to 50% extra storage space in the same floor area, while improving operational efficiency.
The benefit with Flexi’s articulating forklifts is that one forklift can perform two functions; from going outside to load or unload a truck, to taking products down an aisle from 1.6 metres wide and placing them in racking.
