SUPPORTING GROWTH AT SORTED LOGISTICS

Sorted Logistics operates in Christchurch, Auckland and Sydney offering warehousing, distribution, and international freight forwarding solutions to their clients and recently undertook a major new project at the company’s Waterloo Road Campus in Christchurch.

The project encompassed the design, consent, and installation of racking within a 12000m2 warehouse, plus a flagship office to house their head office function.

The primary objective for Sorted Logistics was to find a solution that would maximise pallet locations within the warehouse’s unique constraints of high stud walls, narrow aisles and location within a seismic zone. Additionally, strict construction deadlines added to the project’s complexity, requiring streamlined execution.

To achieve this, Sorted Logistics partnered with Pallet Racking Solutions (PRS) who designed a solution that has been instrumental in the project’s success.

“PRS supplied the highest quality products, carefully selected to comply with seismic conditions, while ensuring cost-effectiveness. These components played a critical role in ensuring compliance with rigorous safety standards. The design included a range of unique solutions specifically tailored to the warehouse build programme and the needs of the incoming customer, with short lead times to minimise disruption,” says John Fenwick, CEO PRS.

Fenwick says the project was executed flawlessly, successfully delivered both on time and within budget.Director of Sorted Logistics, Kris Webster, is pleased with the result and his ongoing collaborative relationship with Pallet Racking Solutions, regularly recommending their services and expertise to industry peers.

According to Webster, the new project represents Sorted Logistics’ commitment to excellence, providing ample space and tailor-made storage configurations for the product being distributed from this site.

The addition of this new warehouse enables Sorted Logistics to enhance the company’s overall operational capabilities and better serve clients. The build has been developed to complement the existing warehouses within the Christchurch campus.

“This project showcases the impact that strategic partnerships and innovative solutions can have in the industrial sector. By leveraging expertise and cutting-edge materials, businesses can optimise their operations, maximise efficiency, and ensure the safety of their facilities in the pursuit of operational excellence,” says Fenwick.
